Stan's New Book - A Boy In Hiding

A Brief Musical Background

Prior to creating " Stan Rubens the Invisible 3 and Me", Stan had the occasion to perform as a recording artist for W. & G. of Sydney , a leading recording studio in Australia .

In the late 50's, during this period, W. & G. released a total of six songs that he recorded as a vocalist with them.  He also made many appearances on Australian TV networks and radio.

During the 60's, Stan moved to Los Angeles and performed in numerous clubs around the Hollywood area, mainly with small groups, providing entertainment and dance music.

He also worked in Las Vegas as a single vocalist playing guitar and working with small three or four piece groups the latter was his preference.

After settling down in Honolulu , he has worked for many months perfecting his "Invisible Three". With just an electronic keyboard he creates a sound of his own that certainly does not sound electronic at all he has played at the Reef Hotel and various places in the Honolulu area.

Stan released his album cassette "Today I Touched The End Of A Rainbow", in 1991.  10 of his own songs in Hi Fi Dolby stereo it was received by his peers as outstanding, a pleasure to listen to.

In 1993 he released his second album cassette with the title “ Honolulu You're My Lover".  12 brand new songs almost 40 minutes of music.  A number of songs have already found their way to the US Mainland.  Producers at channel 22 have also jumped on his music wagon using this cassette.

His video (MTV style) “The Freeway Junkie”, has been played on various TV channels in Hawaii and on the US Mainland.

Stan has written background music for so many TV productions on channel 22, and is still continuing to do so, it would make this bio too long to go into detail.

The interesting thing is that his recordings and his live performances seem to sound totally identical.  He is able to create a 3 or 4 piece vocal group complete with a small combo or big band sound combination by himself in a live performance.

His presentations seem effortless (like Perry Como ), his voice a crossover between Don Ho and Roger Whittaker .

Don’t miss any of his appearances, you would be sorry if you did! ! !
