Songwriting one is now being followed up to explore the writing of melodies for lyrics, and also for instrumental melodies only.
The course will delve into writing the lyrics to a complete song.
Included is a series of short cuts of how to play chords on an electronic keyboard without jeopardizing chord integrity. This will be in a simplified manner. And will also be applicable to piano or organ.
The course will be educational for beginners as well as for those already on the way to writing. This also will give a sounding board for experienced songwriters to test some of their ideas.
Because of the intensity of the material the class will be limited to 10 persons.
There will be a number of keyboards in the classroom to facilitate immediate expression by the students. This will also allow better direct interfacing of melody development and chord progressions with the teacher, to create a complete song, or instrumental.
Stan Rubens is an accomplished author, composer and songwriter. He has self-produced 4 CDs/Albums/Tapes and composed and published 45 of his own songs.
